AI for your phone

An AI voice agent that answers when you can't

An AI voice agent answers the phone when you're in the kitchen, with a customer or under a car. It gives your opening hours, takes reservations and takeaway orders, and books appointments. When in doubt, it puts the caller through to you.

What you get

  • A call script with your opening hours, menu or services
  • A natural voice that understands everyday Dutch
  • Orders and reservations read back to check
  • Orders and appointments sent straight to your email, WhatsApp or till (if your till system supports a connection)
  • Putting callers through to you when in doubt
  • A notice at the start that the caller is talking to a digital assistant
  • A bundle of call minutes per month in the monthly fee

Not included

  • Call minutes above the bundle. I charge those monthly in arrears. The size of the bundle and the price of extra minutes are in the quote.
  • A guarantee that the voice agent always hears and says everything correctly. AI can make mistakes.
  • Round-the-clock help or guaranteed availability. If something breaks, I work on it on working days, as quickly as I can.
  • Your phone contract and your till system. Those stay with your own provider.

Exactly what is and is not included is set out in the terms.

Who it's for

Restaurants and takeaways

The phone rings just when the kitchen is busiest. The voice agent takes orders and reservations while you keep cooking.

Hairdressers and practices

You're with a client or patient and can't pick up. The voice agent books an appointment or notes the question, so you can call back.

Mechanics and garages

With your hands in an engine, you don't answer the phone. The voice agent notes who's calling, what the problem is and when it suits them.

What an AI voice agent does for you

A voice agent is software that holds a phone conversation. It listens to the caller, understands what they want and answers in a natural voice. It's one of the AI solutions for your business that I build.

It answers at the moments you choose. For example when you're on another call, when you don't pick up after a few rings, or outside opening hours. It handles standard questions, such as your opening hours, and takes reservations, takeaway orders or appointments.

It always reads an order back to check. If everything is right, it sends the order where you want it: to your email, to WhatsApp or to your till. That way everything is in one place, without scribbled notes next to the phone.

Honest with the caller, and you stay reachable

At the start of every call, the voice agent says that it's a digital assistant. Callers need to know they're talking to AI, and that notice stays in place. Modern voices sound natural and understand everyday Dutch. If someone calls in English, it can carry on in English.

AI can make mistakes. A name gets misheard, or a question falls outside what the agent knows. That's why it reads orders back and puts the caller through to you as soon as it's in doubt.

You decide what the agent does and doesn't do. A question about allergens, a complaint or a medical question? Then we agree that it always puts the caller through.

Why a monthly fee?

Building it costs from €1,500, one-off. After that you pay from €149 a month. Every call minute costs computing power and telephony. The monthly fee includes a bundle of call minutes, so you know where you stand.

If a busy month goes over the bundle, I charge the extra minutes monthly in arrears. The size of the bundle and the cost of extra minutes are in the quote. You'll also find all prices on the pricing page.

You can cancel the voice agent monthly, with one month's notice. AI providers sometimes change their models or prices. If necessary, I adjust the agent or switch to a comparable provider.

Privacy: what happens to the calls

Calls with the voice agent are only used to handle the caller's request. We agree together how long data is kept. Everything follows the GDPR, the European privacy law.

You are the controller: it's your business and your customer. I'm the processor, and my data processing agreement applies to that. I'll send it to you on request. You let callers know what happens to their data, for example in the privacy statement on your website. The exact arrangements are in the terms and conditions.

How it works

  1. 1

    Introduction

In a free 30-minute call you tell me when you miss the phone and what callers usually want.

  2. 2

    Quote

You get a quote with the build price, the monthly fee, the bundle of call minutes and the price of extra minutes.

  3. 3

    Set-up

I add your opening hours, menu or services. We agree when it puts callers through and where orders should go.

  4. 4

    Test calls

You call it a few times yourself and try it out. Whatever doesn't work well, I adjust.

  5. 5

    Live

The voice agent goes live and answers whenever you want it to.

An example

Friday night at a takeaway

It's Friday, dinner time. Every line is busy and the kitchen is flat out. The voice agent answers, says it's the restaurant's digital assistant and asks what the caller would like to order. It reads the order back to check, asks what time they'll collect it and puts it straight into your email, WhatsApp or till. If someone asks about allergens, it puts them through to the restaurant.

Frequently asked questions

What if the voice agent doesn't understand something?

It asks again. If it's still unsure, it puts the caller through to you. If you don't pick up, it notes the question and the phone number so you can call back.

How many call minutes are in the monthly fee?

That depends on how busy your phone is. Together we choose a bundle that fits, and it's stated in the quote. If you use more in a month, I charge the extra minutes afterwards.

Does it work with my till or calendar?

Email and WhatsApp almost always work. A till or online calendar works if that system supports a connection. I check that for you beforehand.

Can I stop again?

Yes. You can cancel the voice agent monthly, with one month's notice. You cancel in writing, and an email is enough.
