How it works

How I build your website, step by step

Five steps, from a free intro call to a site that is live on your own domain. You always know what is happening, what I need from you and what it costs.

  1. 1

    Step 1 · 30 minutes, free

    Intro call

We talk for half an hour, by video or in person if you are in West-Brabant. You tell me what you do, for whom, and what your website should achieve: more enquiries, a better first impression or fewer calls with the same question.

I mostly ask questions. By the end you know which package fits and whether I am the right builder for you. If I'm not, I'll say so.

    You
You tell me about your business and your customers.
    Me
I listen, ask questions and give honest advice.
  2. 2

Step 2 · Fixed price and planning

    Proposal

You get a proposal with a fixed price, exactly what is included and a planning. I don't do anything that isn't in the proposal without your agreement, so there are no surprises.

If you agree, you pay half of the price and I schedule your project.

    You
You read the proposal and say yes.
    Me
I put price, scope and planning in writing.
  3. 3

Step 3 · You watch it grow

    Build

I write the texts with you, based on what you tell me and send me. I use AI for this, but I decide what goes on the page and you approve everything.

At the same time I design and build the site. You get a link to a test version, so you can watch it grow. A second language comes at no extra cost.

    You
You send information, plus your logo and photos if you have them.
    Me
I write, design and build, and keep you posted.
  4. 4

    Step 4 · Two rounds

    Feedback

You look at the test version on your laptop and phone and send all your comments in one go. I process them, then there is a second round.

In practice that is enough to get everything right. If you want more changes after that, you'll hear the cost up front. Extra work is €95 an hour.

    You
You collect your comments and send them in one message.
    Me
I process everything and show you what changed.
  5. 5

Step 5 · On your own domain

    Live

I launch the site on your own domain name. It stays in your name: with your own provider, where I set up the DNS once, or managed by me. Your email keeps working.

With Business and Business Plus I add your site to Google Search Console and Bing, so search engines find it quickly. At the launch you pay the second half.

    You
You give me access to your domain, or change two settings yourself with my instructions.
    Me
I launch the site and check that everything works.

What I need from you

Mostly information. It doesn't have to be finished or nicely worded, I take care of that.

  • What you do, for whom, and what visitors should do: call, email or book an appointment.
  • Your logo and brand colours, if you have them.
  • Photos of yourself, your work or your business. No good photos? Then I find suitable stock images.
  • Existing texts, brochures or your old website. Everything helps, even if it isn't finished.
  • Access to your domain name, or someone who can get to it.

How long does it take?

Starter (one-pager)
Often within a week
Business (up to 8 pages)
1 to 2 weeks
Business Plus (with a CMS)
2 to 3 weeks

Delivery times are indicative. How fast it goes depends mostly on how quickly texts, images and feedback come in.

After the launch

You choose how your site carries on: Hosting for €39 a month, Care with 3 hours of work for €100 a month, or you take everything with you with Self-managed. Hosting and Care can be cancelled monthly.

Frequently asked questions

How much of my time does it take?

Count on an hour for the intro call and the proposal, and a few hours to send information and give feedback. The faster you respond, the faster your site is live.

Can I see the work in progress?

Yes. You get a link to a test version that grows while I build.

What if I want more changes after two feedback rounds?

Then you'll hear up front how much time it takes. I charge extra work at €95 an hour, and only if you agree.

What happens if the project stalls?

If I'm waiting for content or feedback for more than two months, I invoice the second half. I finish the site as soon as you are ready to continue.

Do you visit in person?

Happily, in West-Brabant. Elsewhere I work by video, which works just as well.

Ready for a new website?
